New Heart Foundation

The board of directors at New Heart Foundation consists of skilled and passionate individuals who bring unique perspectives to support the organization’s mission of resourcing pastors and leaders for intentional ministry to the broken and hurting.

Ron Brooks

Pastor Ron Brooks is the founder and Executive Director of the New Heart Foundation. Ron and his wife, Janette, reside in Lynnwood, Washington.  They have one married daughter and are the proud grandparents of three grandsons.

Ron and Janette sensed the call of God to the broken and hurting in 1984 while pastoring a church on SeaTac Strip in South Seattle.  Since coming to Westgate Chapel in 1993, Ron and Janette have passionately lived their lives and ministries in reaching and discipling the broken and hurting.

Dean Ridings

Since 1985 Dean has owned Ridings Inc., a family of enterprises including Ridings Custom Painting, Ridings Construction Services, and real estate holdings throughout the greater Seattle area. He has been a lifelong Bible student, teacher and business speaker.

Dean shares a heart for the broken and hurting and has spent his life attempting to use his knowledge of the scriptures, business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit to open doors to share his faith and love of God. Dean is passionate about using business ventures and enterprises to move forward the Kingdom of God and transform individuals’ lives to receive wholeness and healing from God.

He sees all that he does as “Kingdom work,” from remodeling a client’s kitchen to teaching the gospel of John at the mission to leading a training session for his foreman. “It is all for the Kingdom,” says Dean.

Michael Kerner

Michael is the Business Owner of Benecorp an Employee Benefits Firm located in the Seattle area. He has been in the Insurance Business for over 30 years. Originally from Manhattan Beach, CA. Michael Graduated Cum Laude from Lewis & Clark College. He has a BA in English Literature and BA in Communications. He also attended the University of Edinburgh. He is the Director of New Heart Ministries at Philadelphia Church in Ballard, WA. Michael also serves on the Board of Directors for the New Heart Foundation.

Pastor Brad Sebranke

Brad Sebranke received his BS & MS in Civil Engineering from UW in late 1980s. In the early 1990s, worked in the Civil Engineering field, during which time he met Brenda & they were married in 1994. Shortly after getting married he went into business for himself in a niche he calls “creating value in real estate” He started volunteering full time at their church, Park Ridge Community Church in Bothell. In 2007 he took over as Lead Pastor.

As an entrepreneurial leader, Brad has built a very community focused church aimed at meeting the needs of the young families in their suburban community. Some of the programs they have created include:  Park Ridge International Preschool, Kid’s Connection, a Before & After School Daycare, Jacob’s Well Coffee Stand, BLAST (Weekly elementary age outreach to elementary schools), Park Ridge Community Market, Film’s in the Field – show feature films in outdoor amphitheater, Founders & Operators of Shock & Awe Fireworks, and now building a Family Entertainment Center. Brad and Brenda have 2 sons Nathan and Micah.

Kevin McDonald

Kevin McDonald was born in Edmonds, Washington, and has spent most of his personal and professional life there. He was an active participant in the community growing up, playing numerous sports including swimming and wrestling at Woodway Highschool, as well as being involved with the Edmonds Arts Festival. Kevin went to Michigan State to pursue his B.A. in Business Marketing where he learned the skills on how to effectively market an industry. After completing his college career, Kevin moved back to the Pacific Northwest and worked a variety of professions wherein he was able to utilize his business marketing degree. After garnering some experiencing working at other establishments, he met his wife, Elaine, and they both decided to become individual entrepreneurs by opening their very own furniture store in 1986. They spent 32 years cultivating, growing, and developing their furniture store before finally deciding to retire.

Kevin now enjoys spending his free time reading, volunteering, and being with family. He is on a perennial journey to continue cultivating his relationship with The Lord and embodying the values and lessons that Christianity espouses. Kevin loves his work with New Heart Foundation because it affords him the opportunity to help others in their journey toward The Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Michael Talley

Michael Talley began his work life as a musician, having earned a BME, an MFA and completed all the course work toward a Doctorate, while singing, and serving as a Minister of Music and Youth. 

Moving into the business arena, he held various positions from District Manager, Regional Director, and later Vice President.  He completed a Master of Business, Executive Training from the University of Dayton – School of Business. 

For twenty years, Michael was co-owner and CFO of “The Talley Group” with his wife Judy. The Talley Group continues as a technical recruiting company with an emphasis on Engineering, though the Talleys sold their business in 2019. 

In 2017 Michael was invited to become a “coach” for New Heart Place home for men.  During the subsequent years, he has seen many reclaimed lives and the restoration of many formerly addicted and homeless men to their families.  Some now own their own businesses and are serving others through them. 

Father of 5, Grandfather of 25, and Great Grandfather of 4, Michael Talley is passionate about leaving a safe and better world for future generations.
